Acupuncture's aim is to rebalance and restore health and well-being to the individual as a whole
The first treatment will include a holistic assessment of your health - Amy will ask about your main complaints, medical history, diet, digestive system, sleeping pattems, gynecology pattems and your emotional health. In addition your tongue will be examined and your pulses on both wrists will be taken as part of the assessment.
After the assessment Amy will tailor a treatment plan and discuss with you.
Amy, originally from Hong Kong, has resided in the UK for over three decades. During this time, she has balanced part-time work in the scientific and public service sectors with raising her two sons and caring for her husband.
After her sons departed for Cambridge University to further their studies, Amy pursued her own academic interests and career by enrolling in the Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture program at Salford University. Her intensive, three-year full-time training, which included ample experience treating patients with a range of ailments at the Salford University clinic, thoroughly prepared her for a career in this field. To further enhance her skills, Amy traveled to China, where she studied at two prestigious Chinese hospitals in Guiyang and Zhuhai.
